Summary:
This article analyzes how public policies on PrEP for HIV prevention have been implemented in 13 South American countries. The research shows that, despite the effectiveness of PrEP, its adoption in the region remains uneven, influenced by political, social, and cultural factors. The analysis points to challenges and pathways to make prevention strategies more equitable and accessible.
