O seu uso consiste na tomada de comprimidos de forma di\u00e1ria ou pr\u00f3ximo \u00e0 rela\u00e7\u00e3o sexual, o que permitem ao organismo estar preparado para enfrentar um poss\u00edvel contato com o HIV. A pessoa em PrEP realiza acompanhamento regular de sa\u00fade, com testagem para o HIV e outras Infec\u00e7\u00f5es Sexualmente Transmiss\u00edveis que bloqueiam alguns \u201ccaminhos\u201d que o HIV usa para infectar o organismo. Existem duas modalidades de PrEP indicadas: a PrEP di\u00e1ria e a PrEP sob demanda.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-95f4616 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image-box\" data-id=\"95f4616\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image-box.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-image-box-wrapper\"><div class=\"elementor-image-box-content\"><h3 class=\"elementor-image-box-title\">PrEP di\u00e1ria<\/h3><p class=\"elementor-image-box-description\">Consiste na tomada di\u00e1ria dos comprimidos, de forma cont\u00ednua, indicada para qualquer pessoa em situa\u00e7\u00e3o de vulnerabilidade ao HIV.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0099794 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image-box\" data-id=\"0099794\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image-box.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-image-box-wrapper\"><div class=\"elementor-image-box-content\"><h3 class=\"elementor-image-box-title\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.br\/aids\/pt-br\/assuntos\/prevencao-combinada\/prep-profilaxia-pre-exposicao\/prep-profilaxia-pre-exposicao\">PrEP sob demanda<\/a><\/h3><p class=\"elementor-image-box-description\">consiste na tomada da PrEP somente quando a pessoa tiver uma poss\u00edvel exposi\u00e7\u00e3o de risco ao HIV. Deve ser utilizada com a tomada de 2 comprimidos de 2 a 24 horas antes da rela\u00e7\u00e3o sexual, + 1 comprimido 24 horas ap\u00f3s a dose inicial de dois comprimidos + 1 comprimido 24 horas ap\u00f3s a segunda dose. A PrEP sob demanda \u00e9 indicada para pessoas que tenham habitualmente rela\u00e7\u00e3o sexual com frequ\u00eancia menor do que duas vezes por semana e que consigam planejar quando a rela\u00e7\u00e3o sexual ir\u00e1 ocorrer.  Al\u00e9m disso, as evid\u00eancias cient\u00edficas garantem a seguran\u00e7a e efic\u00e1cia da PrEP sob demanda somente para algumas popula\u00e7\u00f5es.
